I’m getting ready to make pickles, so I go through the pantry to see what I have left by way of jars. Sometimes, I’ll decide something is too old to keep and dump the contents just to have the jar. Today, I found just one jar of garlic dills remaining from last year. I snapped a photo.
I opened the jar to retrieve one for breakfast, (yeah, breakfast) and had an instant craving for an old standard morning meal. Peanut butter and pickle sandwich. Before you discount this delightful combination entirely, consider trying it at least once. Mind you, it should be open face, and the pickles must be garlic dill. Spread the peanut butter on the bread and add thinly sliced pickle. Imagine Thai peanut-garlic flavors…serious yum.
